About the Role

You will own services end to end at RedQubes — schema design, API contracts, background jobs, observability — on a modern Python stack (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker).

Responsibilities

• Design clean, versioned REST APIs and async services in FastAPI

• Model relational data for correctness first, scale second — and know when to denormalize

• Integrate payment gateways, KYC providers, and third-party platforms

• Write meaningful tests and push code through CI/CD to production

• Review code and mentor mid-level engineers

Requirements

• 4+ years building production backend systems in Python

• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge — indexing, query plans, migrations

• Solid grasp of auth, caching, queues, and API security

• Experience running services in Docker on cloud infrastructure

Nice to Have

• Kafka/RabbitMQ experience

• Open-source contributions
